<h2>Project Engineering Manager — Grayson, Kentucky</h2> <p>Our client, a food manufacturing operation based in Grayson, Kentucky, is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to lead capital and facility improvement projects across the plant. This is a site-level leadership role with direct impact on operational efficiency, safety, and long-term infrastructure. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Plan, manage, and execute capital improvement and facility projects from concept through completion</li> <li>Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to align project scope with production requirements</li> <li>Develop project budgets, timelines, and resource plans; track progress and report to plant leadership</li> <li>Manage relationships with contractors, equipment vendors, and engineering firms</li> <li>Ensure all projects comply with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies</li> <li>Lead root cause analysis and implement engineering solutions to address recurring operational or equipment issues</li> <li>Support capacity expansion, line upgrades, and process improvement initiatives</li> <li>Mentor and develop project engineering staff where applicable</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Background in food manufacturing is required</li> <li>Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects in a manufacturing environment</li> <li>Strong understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor oversight</li> <li>Familiarity with food safety regulations and GMP environments</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline preferred</li> <li>Effective communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently</li> <li>PMP certification or equivalent experience is a plus</li> </ul> <h2>Why This Opportunity</h2> <p>This role offers the chance to take meaningful ownership of engineering initiatives within a stable manufacturing environment.
