Compensation: $250,000 - $300,000 base ($300,000 - $400,000 OTE) + competitive equity

An applied research lab that builds the datasets, reinforcement-learning environments and evaluation infrastructure that frontier AI labs use to train better models. Founded recently, it has grown to a nine-figure revenue run rate.

The Role

Our client is hiring a Software Engineer (2+ years) to build the core infrastructure behind expert acquisition, onboarding and matching at scale. This is not a traditional growth engineering role: you will build the platform and tooling the growth team uses to hire, assess, interview, onboard and retain domain experts, from outreach tooling and an AI interviewer to automated expert-to-project matching, with a path to building ML-driven recommendation systems.

What You Will Do

  • Build and own the expert marketplace infrastructure: outreach, AI interviewing, assessments and onboarding tooling.
  • Develop the hiring platform where experts are onboarded, managed and dispatched to projects by fit and availability.
  • Create automations and internal tools that replace manual workflows and multiply the growth team's throughput.
  • Partner with growth associates to find bottlenecks, instrument the funnel and ship high-leverage improvements.
  • Eventually build ML-driven recommendation systems that predict expert needs for new projects.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of software engineering experience
  • Full-stack skills across TypeScript/JavaScript, Next.js, React, Node.js and Python
  • Comfort owning systems end to end with significant autonomy
  • Ability to work in the San Francisco office Monday-Friday
