Compensation: $120,000 - $190,000 + 0.1% - 0.5% equity

A Series A healthcare AI company building agents that reason over and adjudicate complex clinical decisions in real time, with output audited by clinicians and regulators.

The Role

The company hires engineers who kill bad ideas fast, refuse requirements they do not understand, and dig until they find the fix, because "mostly right" is a failed state in clinical AI. As a Member of Technical Staff you will be part builder, part operator and part technical consultant: shipping production-grade AI into live healthcare workflows from day one, earning the trust of clinical and technical teams, and working directly with the founders on product and technical direction.

What You Will Do

• Scope and architect AI solutions for ambiguous, high-stakes clinical problems, from first conversation to production spec.
• Build and deploy RAG pipelines, multi-agent workflows and systems that process clinical medical records.
• Ensure interoperability with healthcare data standards (EHR, FHIR, HL7).
• Own monitoring, performance tuning and improvement after deployment.
• Find new opportunities for AI adoption within existing accounts.
• Partner with product and clinical safety teams, and navigate clinical, operational and technical stakeholders credibly.

What You Bring

• 1+ years of engineering experience
• Experience building RAG pipelines, multi-agent systems or structured extraction from unstructured data
• Relentless attention to detail and a drive to find root causes
• Comfort working directly with customers
• Ability to work in person in San Francisco 5 days a week

Nice to Have

• Healthcare data standards experience (EHR, FHIR, HL7)
• Clinical or healthcare AI background
