A Series A startup working with leading research teams to build reinforcement-learning environments and trajectory datasets that push AI capabilities forward.

The Role

Our client is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers (2-5 years) as fast-moving generalists who bridge its platform and what frontier AI lab customers need. You will handle ad hoc customer requests (shaping data, spinning up dashboards, handcrafting RL tasks and building quick features) on tight timelines at the cutting edge of post-training and agent research.

What You Will Do

• Shape expert-created data to fit the specific requirements of frontier AI lab customers.
• Build quick plugins, features and improvements to data-collection systems.
• Handcraft reinforcement learning task samples for customer needs.
• Spin up customer-facing dashboards and portals on short timelines.
• Spot when one-off builds should become part of the core platform.

What You Bring

• 2-5 years of engineering experience
• Generalist skills across TypeScript, Python and Go
• Comfort with tight timelines and ad hoc customer requests
• Interest in post-training, RL environments and agent research
• Ability to work on-site in Flatiron, NYC
